]]> Residents of Navotas City can now book vehicles from the ride hailing service Grab, weeks after Rep. Toby Tiangco asked Congress to probe the seeming selectiveness of the company in which areas to service.

Councilor Ethel Joy Arriola-Mejia shared on Facebook that she was able to book a Grab Car from Navotas City Hall on December 3.

“To All NAVOTAS GRAB USERS, may GRAB CAR na po kung ang pick-up point ay Navotas! Hindi na puro Grab taxi lang ang lalabas pag nagbook. Thank you Grab Philippines and Congressman Toby Tiangco!” she said.

Arriola-Mejia expressed hope that the supply of Grab Car vehicles for Navotas residents will not be gone after a few days or weeks.

Tiangco in November filed House Resolution 2303 after receiving complaints from his constituents about the supposed lack of service vehicles from Grab in the city.

He said Grab has been committing violations because of its “refusal to service the people of Navotas City” even if the area is within Metro Manila.
